Beulah Cole Circle
This year, 2009, Beulah Cole Circle is celebrating its 45
th anniversary. The women in the circle enjoy sharing stories of their children and grandchildren and working together on mission projects both local and global. Each month we have a mission focus.
As a group, our circle got together in the Fellowship Hall of the church and on two separate occasions, we worked on mission projects for the North Carolina Conference Disaster Response Center, MERCI . We brought our sewing machines, scissors, and pins. Some of us cut out patterns others pinned and cut and we made hats, capes and book bags . The second project we just completed was assembling flood buckets. Both projects help with recovery needs as families request assistance after a disaster.
The BCC created and maintains the Beulah Cole Tranquility Garden located between the Administrative Building and Sanctuary. This garden is enjoyed by staff and members as a quietl area for meditation and reflection.
The Beulah Cole Circle meets the 3
rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. We meet in each other’s home or in the church parlor. Please call Linda Skinner 451-0122 or Olene Crider 383-2473 if you would be interested in coming to a meeting. We would love to have you. We are getting ready to have a jewelry making group and a group preparing frozen dinners for our Fall Festival.
