FAYE WATKINS CIRCLE

The Faye Watkins Circle was established in July 2002, honoring our namesake, Faye Watkins, a devoted member of Mt. Sylvan and the United Methodist Women. Faye loved her Lord and served Him diligently as she gave so much of herself to better the lives of others. She served at the local, district, and conference levels of the UMW and we strive to emulate her example through our service to others.

We held our first meeting on July 13, 2002, and our circle has continued to grow both in numbers and in our commitment to each other and to the purpose of the United Methodist Women. Our circle is a multi-generational group of women with hearts for mission. We provide outreach to our church and the community in many ways such as IHN meal preparation, Cradle Roll ministry, birthday parties at Methodist Retirement Community, Backpack Ministry, various gifts to missions (through local, district, and conference initiatives), and contributions to the yearly Fall Festival.

We meet the first Saturday of each month from 9:00-11:00am in the Action Classroom of the Educational Building. Our meetings are child friendly though we usually have childcare available. We enjoy breakfast while we have a devotion, program, and business meeting.

Our group includes single ladies, grandmothers, and every age in between, so we have a place for you! We are always seeking new members and would love to see you at our next meeting.
