Backpack Ministry
The Backpack Program meets the needs of participating children at Eno Valley Elementary School, where many students benefit from access to meals on the weekends. Each week backpacks are filled with child-friendly, non-perishable, vitamin-fortified food, and are discreetly distributed to those children in need.

Inter-Faith Hospitality Network
We are a host church for IHN which provides temporary housing for homeless families with children. We provide overnight housing, meals, and transportation for the families four times a year. To learn more about this mission and how you can serve, call Katy MacDonald or Kit Chappell.
Habitat for Humanity Project
Haiti:
We have a growing presence in Haiti as we continue to support Pastor Leon Dorleans and his wife Jackie through mission trips to offer help in any way we can. Recently we have worked in a library in Blanchard, sorted shoes in Cite Soliel and shared meals with Jackie and Leon at their dinner table as they shared their amazing stories. We have also helped in building projects and with setting up a computer lab at a school. Next summer we will are planning a visit to put roofs on homes and provide a vacation bible school for children. We also have friendships with the nuns in Fondwa, Haiti who run a school and an orphanage. Mt. Sylvan UMW circles have supported children in the school through education sponsorships and in the orphanage through gifts and financial donations for ongoing care. Blood Drive
You are invited to participate in a Red Cross blood drive which we host in the fellowship hall from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM one Sunday every fall and spring. You are encouraged to become a donor and help is always needed for setup, registration, and refreshments. Watch for posters and newsletter articles for the dates.
