There are two key phrases or ideas that I live my life by: “Randomnicity is the key to a good time.” And, “I don’t care how much you know until I know how much you care.” The first just because being random helps life to be fun and spontaneous. The second phrase is important to me, because of the many experiences with people along my faith journey such as helping start a skateboard ministry, developing an inner-city after school program, connecting people to helping meet the basic needs of others in the community and mentoring students. These things have helped me to find a meaning or the point to life and faith.

Students today have plenty of extra-curricular activities and programs vying for their time. They are searching for a meaning and purpose. They are searching for
the point to their life and faith. Students want and need to be the church, not just attend one. A real student ministry should help them discover this meaning and their calling through receiving and sharing the love of Jesus Christ. As leader of the youth team here at Mount Sylvan we are committed to helping students get the point of their faith.
